The promotion of value-based healthcare through digital transformation

The American Medical Devices and Diagnostics Manufacturers’ Association (AMDD) aims to achieve both high quality medical care and sound medical financing through the introduction of high-value medical technology. To this goal, AMDD aims to realize Value-Based Healthcare (VBHC). In addition to the management and distribution of medical devices and IVDs, we believe it is important to realize healthcare DX through the widespread use of digital technology in healthcare.
AMDD established the Digital Health Committee in September 2021, and as the research project, introduced advanced cases in Japan and abroad, compiled proposals for the development of systems and environments, and completed this report in August, aiming to realize a better society through the digitization of medical and social systems by utilizing medical technology and information and communication technology.
